logo_leogang80 exhibitors, five race formats, 1000 active participants and about 8000 visitors: At the BIKE Festival in Saalfelden Leogang there was only one topic: bikes, bikes, bikes. Especially popular: The brand new 2020er bikes that visitors could test at one of the many trails in the Bikepark. On the last festival day, people even queued before the expo opening to fetch one of the test bikes.

Plenty of adventure and fun was also guaranteed at several races. Besides the festival classics – the Rocky Mountain BIKE Marathon on Saturday and the Scott Enduro Series on Sunday – there was also a lot of action on the new Velosolutions Pumptrack.

At the qualifier for the Red Bull Pump Track World Championships, only the best four men and women got a ticket for the great final in Bern in October. Round after round the bikers raced over the asphalted Pumptrack, cheered up by the spectators and enjoying the show sun bathing.

Not less exciting was the Scott Junior Trophy that for the first time in the festival history also took place on the new Pumptrack. 70 girls and boys speeded up, while their parents watched the action - being more nervous than their young ones. Even some little crashes could not stop the kids that just stood up again and continued under the applause of the crowd. The race is all about fun and rather about competing, so all participants got a medal and a present in the end.

After the rainy premiere of the Continental BIKE Festival in Saalfelden Leogang in 2018, the exhibitors and organisers are especially happy about the great weather conditions this year.

Mathias Ley, head of organisation and marketing, is looking very satisfied at the second edition, while he is already announcing the date for next year’s event: In 2020 the Continental BIKE Festival will enter the third round from 11- 13 September.
